Szósta ju¿ czê¶æ bardzo znanej serii FPS-ów Call of Duty. Gra kontynuuje w±tki czwartej czê¶ci sagi i po raz drugi w jej historii skupia siê na wspó³czesnych realiach wojskowych.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to ju¿ szósta ods³ona znanej serii Call of Duty. Chocia¿ formalnie nastêpuje po Call of Duty: World at War to jednak gra jest duchow± i merytoryczn± kontynuacj± czwartej czê¶ci, czyli Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, stworzonej przez Infinity Ward i wydanej przez Activision w 2007 roku.
Saga Call of Duty zwykle przenosi nas do czasów II Wojny ¦wiatowej. W przypadku czwartej ods³ony, czyli wspomnianego Modern Warfare, autorzy postanowili zrezygnowaæ z tego okresu historycznego na rzecz wspó³czesno¶ci, skupiaj±c siê na realiach obecnej armii, pe³nej technologicznych nowinek i gad¿etów. Ekipa z Infinity Ward postanowi³a ponownie podj±æ ten temat tak¿e w tym tytule.
Wcielamy siê w ¿o³nierza wspó³czesnej armii, by wykonaæ szereg niebezpiecznych i zró¿nicowanych misji, podczas których wykorzystywaæ mo¿emy najnowocze¶niejsze uzbrojenie oraz wyposa¿enie. Autorzy odwzorowali wiele najnowszych technologii wojskowych i starali siê wiernie przenie¶æ je do postaci wirtualnej. Wa¿nym aspektem gry s± równie¿ bardzo urozmaicone i intensywne misje – uczestniczymy tylko i wy³±cznie w niezwykle dynamicznych operacjach militarnych. Czêsto podczas nich wykorzystujemy rozmaite pojazdy i dodatkowy sprzêt oraz dzia³amy w wiêkszej grupie.
Twórcy przygotowali widowiskow± oprawê audiowizualn± oraz bardzo rozbudowany modu³ rozgrywki sieciowej, sk³adaj±cy siê z kilku ciekawych form zabawy. Nowo¶ci± jest tryb Special Ops, w ramach którego przygotowano kilkadziesi±t krótkich, lecz niezwykle dynamicznych zadañ. Mo¿na je wykonywaæ samemu lub w trybie kooperacji z innym graczem przez Internet lub na podzielonym ekranie.
